Christchurch based, Tony de Lautour is a graduate of The University of Canterbury, Ilam School of Fine Arts, and has become very well known for his often quirky works often full of dark humour - his earlier works being strongly political, dealing with contemporary issues of cultural colonisation and ownership.
De Lautour is part of a group of Christchurch artists—along with Saskia Leek, Séraphine Pick and Shane Cotton (often characterised as the “pencil-case painters”).
This example of De Lautours work is a large piece and very difficult to find.
Artworks are expected to be in good general secondhand condition. Where we find an issue we will point it out, however not all small marks particularly to frames will be considered unusual. Please review photos and where you have particular concerns please ask prior to purchase.
