Crown Lynn - elephant
This is a very rare product from the experimental days of Crown Lynn, way back when it was part of Amalgamated Brick and Pipe. In those days, there was a special department set up to experiment with glazes, clays and the like. The elephant range were products of those times.
This lovely elephant is a brown and cream trickle glaze with the trunk curling up to meet its forward right front leg. A charming piece and a bit of NZ history.
